Fees & Payment
My fee is $200/session. I have a limited number of sliding scale spots based on income that are reserved for trans and nonbinary people. Sliding scale spots are currently full. Your fee will be confirmed over the phone prior to your first appointment.
You can conveniently pay your fee by credit card via the SimplePractice client portal. Payment can be set automatically and will be deducted overnight following each session.
Insurance. I do not accept any insurance. If your health insurance includes "out of network" outpatient mental health benefits, however, this provision usually provides coverage for my services. This means that you're responsible for full payment at the time of service and I will provide you with an itemized statement at your request ("superbill"), which you can then submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Please remember that some life insurance companies will deny coverage based on use of medical insurance for mental health treatment, and greater confidentiality is ensured when paying outside of insurance.
Good Faith Estimate. As of January 1, 2022, if you are not using insurance, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your mental health care will cost before you schedule a service. Under the new law, all health care providers need to give patients who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, please visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
